Life will be sweet on Cherry Street Construction Update Workers from D&G Concrete Construction, Inc. and other contractors completed the following work on the Cherry Street reconstruction project last week: â�?¢ Grading and gravel from Jefferson Street to east end of project. â�?¢ Street light conduit from Jefferson Street to east end of project. â�?¢ Concrete paving, approaches and sidewalk from Jefferson Street to Brooks Street. â�?¢ Removals, storm sewer and sanitary services from Plum Street to Jefferson Street, south side. â�?¢ Sanitary sewer from Dakota Street to Rose Street. Work planned for next week includes: â�?¢ Concrete paving, curb and gutter, approaches and sidewalk from Brooks Street to east end of project. â�?¢ Sanitary sewer from Rose Street to Ratingen Street. â�?¢ Remove concrete from Jefferson Street to Brooks Street, south side. â�?¢ Storm sewer from Plum Street to Jefferson Street, south side. Miscellaneous: â�?¢ Norbeck Street north closed. Crawford Road north open. â�?¢ As concrete paving begins, expect limited access for short periods. â�?¢ Speed limit is 25 mph through the construction project. Speeding violations are and will continue to be issued during the construction season by the Vermillion Police Department. Speed violation fines double in work zone. â�?¢ Do not add, remove or relocate barrels, barricades, signs, temporary business signs, etc. on the construction site. If concerns arise, please contact D&G Concrete Construction or the DOT for evaluation. â�?¢ Temporary driveways are being constructed.
