Life will be sweet on Cherry Street Construction Update Workers from D&G Concrete Construction, Inc. and other contractors completed the following work on the Cherry Street reconstruction project last week: â�?¢ Grading and gravel from Jefferson Street to Crawford Road. â�?¢ Street light conduit from Jefferson Street to Crawford Road. â�?¢ Concrete paving, approaches and sidewalk from Jefferson Street to Crawford Road. â�?¢ Traffic diverted to new pavement from Jefferson Street to Plum Street. Work planned for next week includes: â�?¢ Concrete paving, curb and gutter, approaches and sidewalk to east end of project. â�?¢ Grading, gravel from Rose Street to east end of project. â�?¢ Sanitary sewer from Dakota Street to Ratingen Street. â�?¢ Remove concrete from Plum Street to Jefferson Street, south side. Miscellaneous: â�?¢ Dakota Street north of Cherry Street is open. â�?¢ As concrete paving begins, expect limited access for short periods. â�?¢ Speed limit is 25 mph through the construction project. Speeding violations are and will continue to be issued during the construction season by the Vermillion Police Department. Speed violation fines double in work zone. â�?¢ Do not add, remove or relocate barrels, barricades, signs, temporary business signs, etc. on the construction site. If concerns arise, please contact D&G Concrete Construction or the DOT for evaluation. â�?¢ Temporary driveways are being constructed. If anyone has any concerns about the driveway or problems with semi deliveries, please contact the DOT and other arrangements can be discussed. â�?¢ No parking on Princeton Street from Cherry Street to the Pamida entrance. â�?¢ Updates on construction progress and changes will be available online at dgconcrete.com.
