Thune staffer to hold outreach day Sen. John Thune announced that his Economic Development Advisor, Benjamin Ready, will hold an outreach day in Clay County on Thursday, July 24. Mr. Ready will hold office hours from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Wakonda Caf?© and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Little Italyâ??s in Vermillion. Individuals wishing to pass along their concerns or opinions to Sen. Thune are welcome to stop by and visit with Mr. Ready. â??These outreach days allow communities and individuals to update my staff on economic development activities taking place in the region, including potential opportunities for partnerships or assistance at the federal level. There are many reasons South Dakota is a great place for people to live and do business, and I rely on this important input to help me do my job better each day and serve the needs and interests of the people I represent,â? Thune said. Aside from office hours, Mr. Ready will be speaking at the 2008 South Dakota Youth Congress held on the USD Campus. He will also visit with community and business leaders in the region. Residents who would like to visit with Mr. Ready may set up appointments by calling Sen. Thuneâ??s Sioux Falls office at 605-334-9596.
