Clara Nielsen Clara Hazel Nielsen, 101, of Vermillion, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at Sanford Vermillion Care Center. She was born Sept. 29, 1906, in Nance County, NE, to John Neisius and Fanny Hunt. She attended school until seventh grade in the Lake Andes area. She was a homemaker. She married Christian Bernhardt Nielsen on Dec. 1, 1925. Survivors include her children, Martin â�?�?Jackâ�? Nielsen and his special friend, Elva Nottleman of South Sioux City, NE, Melvin Nielsen of Burbank, Ella Clark of Meckling, Robert â�?�?Bubsâ�? (Inez) Nielsen of Burbank and Lillian â�?�?Babeâ�? (Duane) Moore of Las Vegas, NV; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Hans Floyd Nielsen; and four brothers, Albert, Clifford, Ray and Bob Neisius; and herhusband, Christian Bernhardt Nielsen. Services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug., 6, at Iverson-Siecke-Kober Funeral Home, Vermillion, with the Rev. Elmer â�?�?Sandyâ�? Aakre officiating. Burial was in BluffView Cemetery, Vermillion.
