Life will be sweet on Cherry Street Reconstruction Project Workers from D&G Concrete Construction, Inc. and other contractors completed the following work on the Cherry Street reconstruction project last week: â�?¢ Removals, storm sewer, sanitary services â�?�? Jefferson Street to east of Norbeck Street. â�?¢ Concrete curb and gutter, paving, from Plum Street to Jefferson Street, south side. â�?¢ Traffic switched to north side, east end to Dakota Street. Work planned for next week includes: â�?¢ Remove concrete, storm sewer, sanitary sewer from Norbeck Street to east end south side. â�?¢ Concrete paving south side of Jefferson Street to Norbeck Street. â�?¢ Curb and gutter, approaches, sidewalk â�?�? south side of Jefferson Street to Norbeck Street. â�?¢ Removals south side of Norbeck Street to east end of project. Miscellaneous: â�?¢ As concrete paving begins, expect limited access. â�?¢ Speed limit is 25 mph through the construction project. Speeding violations are and will continue to be issued during the construction season by the Vermillion Police Department. Speed violation fines double in work zone. â�?¢ Do not add, remove or relocate barrels, barricades, signs, temporary business signs, etc. on the construction site. If concerns arise, please contact D&G Concrete Construction or the DOT for evaluation. â�?¢ Temporary driveways are being constructed. If anyone has any concerns about the driveway or problems with semi deliveries, please contact the DOT and other arrangements can be discussed. â�?¢ No parking on Princeton Street from Cherry Street to the Pamida entrance. â�?¢ Updates on construction progress and changes will be available on our Web site: dgconcrete.com.
