Sharing the Dream to hold open house at new store Sept. 6 Sharing the Dream in Guatemala, the fair trade organization based in Vermillion, is celebrating their relocation to a new storefront at 10 W. Main with an open house on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The open house will feature food, discounts, and opportunities to learn more about Guatemala and the Sharing the Dream organization. â�?�?We loved our little corner store,â�? said Diane Nesselhuf, Sharing the Dreamâ�?�?s founder, â�?�?but weâ�?�?re so excited to be in the heart of downtown Vermillion.â�? The new space provides more room for display, storage, and educational programs. Diane is looking forward to showing off the â�?�?newâ�? Sharing the Dream. â�?�?Lots of people will already be downtown for Ribs, Rods and Rock â�?�?n Roll â�?�? I hope they stop by and learn more about Sharing the Dream and what we do.â�? Sharing the Dream in Guatemala is a project that promotes fair trade with cooperatives and small businesses in Guatemala. Sharing the Dream is committed to providing fair wages and employment opportunities to low-income artisans, which results in sustainable markets for their projects.
