The Bluffs Bulletin Board Picture perfect
night for W.E.L.L Wednesday evening, Aug. 13, was absolutely perfect for golf. Not too hot, not too windy, not too sticky, not too buggy; it was Goldilocks? perfect (just right). The beauty of the evening was reflected in how well a number of the golfers performed this evening. Two women tied for low gross score with a 39: Jenny Chandler and Mary Gauer. Each had a birdie as well. Mary birdied #3 while Jenny birdied #6 (keep those holes in mind as we proceed). Playing ?fuego golf, and coming in with the low net was Jennifer Steele. Jennifer shot a 40 which, with her handicap of 11, yielded a net score of 29. On her way to this score Jennifer also had a birdie, chipping (putting?) in from off the green on #6 (hole look familiar). Three other golfers had birdies, all on hole #3 (this one also). They were (alphabetically) Kathy Merrigan-Manning, Susan Oberle and Barb Weyrich. Winning the Quackson by surprise was Robin Miskimins. Sign seen on a golf course: You are 150 yards from the center of the green. You are 175 yards from a plate glass window. Choose your club carefully!
