The Bluffs Bulletin Board

The Bluffs Bulletin Board Senior golf fun league Thirty-three golfers attended the Tuesday, July 29 senior golf league. Following the 8:30 a.m. registration, the golf match started at 9 a.m. on the back nine. The winning team, with a score of 37, was Harlan Schott, Alan Clem and Ken Beringer. There were two teams that scored 38. Using a tie-breaker, the team of Lloyd Helseth, Don Baer and Cleland Cook came in second and the team of Van Pierce, Cliff Deverell and Gene Iverson were third. Shooting the same score of 39, the team of Berwyn Svoboda, Turk Pilker and Guy Button edged out the team of Morris Marcotte, Milo Gilbertson and Fritz Bartels for fourth and fifth place respectively. Van Pierce made a nice 18-foot birdie putt on #17 and Gene Iverson sank a nice birdie putt on #12.
