ACT, SAT assessments
scheduled for students As a new school year begins, Vermillion High School juniors and seniors should give some thought to participation in the ACT and/or SAT Assessment programs. The guidance office recommends that students participate in the ACT Assessment Program and/or SAT Achievement Series during their junior year or early in their senior year so the results will be available in time for use in planning for post-secondary education and careers. Both the ACT and SAT Assessments have expanded and updated their programs to provide students and educators with new kinds of information. Students can obtain registration packets that contain all the information necessary to register and prepare for the assessments from the guidance office or students may registration on-line at: www.actstudent.org for the ACT assessments, and www.collegeboard.com for the SAT assessments. The basic registration fees are: ACT â�?�? $31, plus writing, $46; and SAT: â�?�? $45. The Vermillion High School CEEB Code is 421-314. The ACT Test Center Code is 197-480. Late registration will be accepted by both ACT and SAT with additional handling fees. Colleges use information from the ACT and/or SAT assessment programs for academic advising, admissions counseling, course sectioning and placement, student services, and institutional research. ACT and SAT assessment reports are sent to students, their high school counselors, and only those institutions and agencies specifically designated by the student.
