Coyotes finish 7th at Erv Kaiser Invitational The University of South Dakota men��?s golf team finished seventh at the Erv Kaiser Invitational, which was completed Sunday, Sept. 21, in Fargo, ND. USD finished with a three-day total of 915 and was just 33 shots behind winner North Dakota State, which hosted the invite. The Coyotes were led by Jim Walsh (Jr., Sioux Falls) and Kyle Scanlon (So., Stillwater, MN), both of whom tied for 13th with 54-hole scores of 228. Walsh shot rounds 79, 73 and 76 while Scanlon shot rounds of 78, 72 and 78. Gavin Fawbush (So., Madison) added a three-round total of 230 (68-76-86) to tie for 24th for USD. Brett Bennett (Sr., Sioux Falls) finished at 232 (78-76-78) while Matt Campbell (Jr., Aberdeen) shot 239 (77-77-85) to round out the scoring for the Coyotes. USD shot a 301 in Friday��?s first round at the Edgewood Golf Course in Fargo. The Coyotes followed that with a season-best 297 during Saturday��?s second round, which was held at the Village Green Golf Course in Moorhead, MN. USD shot a 317 during Sunday��?s final round at the Fargo Country Club.
