Coyotes women��?s golf second at BCU/Lila Frommelt Classic The University of South Dakota women��?s golf team finished second at the Briar Cliff University/Lila Frommelt Classic, which was completed Friday at the Two Rivers Golf Course in Dakota Dunes. The Coyotes shot a two-day total of 702 to earn the runner-up finish. USD improved its team score by 22 shots Friday with a 340 after firing a 362 on Friday. Dakota Wesleyan University won the event with a 658. Katie Benedict (Fr., Sioux Falls) and Nina Bunkers (Fr., Colman) led the way for the Coyotes as both finished in a tie for sixth at 173. Benedict shot rounds of 90 and 83 while Bunkers carded rounds of 88 and 85. USD��?s Abby Doorn (So., Spencer, IA) finished ninth overall with a two-day total of 174 (91-83). Steph Zavilla (So, Highlands Ranch, CO) added a 182 (93-89) while Grace Peterson (Fr., Sioux Falls) shot a 187 (96-91) to round out the Coyotes��? scoring. USD is off until Oct. 20-21 when it competes at the Drake Invite.
