Sports Writer Despite the fact that their efforts are seldom rewarded with victories, the Lady Tanagers��? tennis team continues to practice hard, play hard and work toward upsetting the odds. Vermillion, whose only win was a 6-3 dual triumph over Todd County on Sept. 11, sees the schedule for the final week of the regular season getting only tougher. Duals are slated at Mitchell on Monday and home Thursday and Friday against Sioux Falls Washington and Sioux Falls Lincoln, respectively. Last week the Tanagers dropped 9-0 duals against Madison and St. Thomas More, both at Madison, and at home against Yankton. St. Thomas More 9, VHS 0 Singles: Claire Jones lost 10-6 to Gould.
