USD defeated by Huskies 4-2 Despite an early goal from Katie Quinones, The University of South Dakota fell to Houston Baptist University 4-2. Quinones (So., Rochester, MN) knocked in an unassisted goal 11:21 in the game to put the Coyotes up 1-0. However, HBU��?s Ana Viscariello responded with two unanswered goals to give the Huskies a 2-1 lead. Just over 14 minutes into the second half, Sarah Halbach (Sr., St. Paul, MN) tied the game at 2-2 with a goal off an assist from Sarah Wheeler (So., Duluth, MN). With the game tied at 2-2, the Huskies scored two-straight goals to earn the victory. Although she didn��?t score either of the goals, Viscariello again played a big role in HBU��?s goals. She assisted on both goals, giving her six points on the day. She aided Felisha Gonzalez on the game winning goal at the 74:16 mark and then assisted on Gemma McDonald��?s insurance goal late in the game. Jennifer Ogren (So., Raymore, MO) took the loss in goal for USD, she allowed all four goals while making four saves. South Dakota falls to 1-4 on the season while Houston Baptist remains undefeated at 4-0.
