USD volleyball falls to Wyoming The University of South Dakota soccer team dropped its first road game on Friday 7-0 to the University of Wyoming at Laramie, WY. The Coyotes fall to 0-2 on the season while the UW Cowgirls improve to 2-1. USD played good defense in the first 30 minutes of the contest but then the University of Wyoming took control scoring its first goal in the 35th minute of play.�? UW scored again at the 36th minute mark putting them up 2-0 at half. In the second half, the Cowgirls added five goals. UW��?s Amanda Lathrop scored three out of the seven goals. South Dakota finished the game with two shots, one from Sami Spokas (MF, Fr. 5-5, Aurora, CO) and the other from Sarah Halbach (F, Sr., 5-7, St. Paul, MN). Jen Ogren (GK, So., 5-8, Raymore, MO) played 50 minutes in the net and had six saves while Ann Opsahl (GK, Sr., 5-5, Yankton) played 40 minutes as goalie recording four saves. The University of Wyoming finished the game with 27 shots, 17 shots on goal, and seven corner kicks.
