Coyotes cruise past
Morningside in women��?s tennis The University of South Dakota women��?s tennis team rolled to a 9-0 win over Morningside College in action Thursday in Sioux City, IA. The Coyotes (2-1) lost only one set in singles play and rolled to wins in double competition to earn their second victory of 2008. ��?The ladies performed well,� Coyote coach Malcolm Gilreath said. USD��?s Shadi Soleymani (Fr., New York, Ontario, Canada) rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Morningside��?s Laura Gildemeister at No. 1 singles.�? Rijalda Zejnic (Jr., Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) added a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles for the Coyotes. Isabel Nunez (Fr., Oakville, Ontario, Canada), Ashley Waltman (Sr., Rapid City), Janea Hagen (So., Bellevue, NE) and Kaitlyn Deragisch (Fr., Luverne, MN) also won in singles for the Coyotes. Soleymani and Zejnic teamed up for an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles for USD, while Waltman and Nunez cruised to an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles. Hagen and Deragisch prevailed 8-6 at No. 3 doubles.
