Hruska leads USD to a victory over North Dakota The University of South Dakotaâ�?�?s Kathleen Hruska had another big match as she led the Coyote to a 3-2 victory over the University of North Dakota on Saturday evening in Seattle, WA. USD lost the first game 25-23, won the second and third games 25-17 and 25-23, lost the fourth game 25-20 and then pulled off the victory in a close battle in the fifth by a score of 15-12. The Coyotes hit .318 on the night and were lead by an impressive performance from Hruska (Sr., Sioux Falls) as she had 27 kills in 45 attempts with just two errors for a .556 hitting percentage. Three other USD players also recorded double-digit kills as Kristin Kritenbrink (So., Gretna, NE) had 18 and Laura Slagter (Sr., Roseville, MN) and Heather Hult (Sr., Davis) added 13 and 11 respectively. Setter, Gina Baldwin (RJr., Mitchell) had a double-double with 55 set assists and 11 digs while also adding five kills for a .556 hitting percentage. USD finished the match with 11.5 team blocks as Hruska recorded a team-high five block assists. Amber Kobus (Sr. Columbus, NE) led the team with 24 digs while Kritenbrink tallied 12 and Baldwin added 11. USD improves to 16-2 overall and UND falls to 19-3 on the season.
