Kobus named player of the week

Kobus named player of the week Amber Kobus, a senior on The University of South Dakota volleyball team, has been named the Great West Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 20. Kobus (Sr., Columbus, NE) collects her fourth weekly honor after leading the Coyotes to a 3-1 win over Drake last week. She had a season-high 29 digs in the match while also recording a service-receive percentage of 95 percent. She also tallied two service aces for the Coyotes, who are 18-2 on the year. For the season, Kobus leads the Coyotes with 389 digs and 31 service aces. North Dakota��?s Britta Hanson was named the GWC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week. The Coyotes resumed action Oct. 21 when they played host to Dakota State at the DakotaDome.
