Sports Writer Vermillionâ�?�?s girlsâ�?�? tennis team lost the overall war, 9-0, to the Sioux Falls Oâ�?�?Gorman junior varsity last week, but Tanager players managed to score 25 points against the Knights. Coming closest to winning matches were Vermillionâ�?�?s Nos. 1 and 2 singles players, Claire Jones and Valerie Robinson, respectively, both falling in 6-10 matches to their Oâ�?�?Gorman opponents. The regular season reaches a conclusion Friday in a home dual against Lincoln.�? Rapid City will host the state tournament Oct. 9-10.
