Sports Writer Vermillion��?s girls��? tennis team lost the overall war, 9-0, to the Sioux Falls O��?Gorman junior varsity last week, but Tanager players managed to score 25 points against the Knights. Coming closest to winning matches were Vermillion��?s Nos. 1 and 2 singles players, Claire Jones and Valerie Robinson, respectively, both falling in 6-10 matches to their O��?Gorman opponents. The regular season reaches a conclusion Friday in a home dual against Lincoln.�? Rapid City will host the state tournament Oct. 9-10. O��?Gorman JV 9, VHS 0 Singles: Claire Jones lost�? 6-10 to Reaves. Valerie Robinson lost�? 6-10 to Prouse. Kayla Munger lost 3-10 to Townsend. Dylan Daniels lost 4-10 to Petrasko. Amanda Jacobson lost 0-10 to Czarwecki. Chrisy Sorenson lost 0-10 to Gospari. Doubles: Jones/Robinson lost 2-10 to Prouse/Townsend. Munger/Daniels defaulted to Reaves/Petrasko. Jacobson/Sorenson lost 4-10 to Czarwecki/Gaspari.
