sweeps Morningside The University of South Dakota volleyball team swept Morningside College on Saturday afternoon in the DakotaDome, as the Coyotes rolled past the Mustangs by scores of 25-19, 25-21 and 25-14. USD improves to 13-1 overall and has won all five of its home games this season. The Mustangs suffered their third loss of the season as they fall to 17-3. Leading the Coyote offense was Laura Slagter (Sr., Roseville, MN) and Kathleen Hruska (Sr. Sioux Falls) as each pounded down 11 kills. Slagter had a team high .385 hitting percentage as she had just one error in 26 attempts. Slagter also had a double-double in the match as she added 15 digs to her 11 kills. Amber Kobus (Sr., Columbus, NE) was second on the team with 12 kills. South Dakota, who finished the game with eight team blocks and a .264 team hitting percentage, held Morningside to just a .062 hitting percentage. USDâ�?�?s Heather Hult (Sr., Davis) led the team with five block assists. Gina Baldwin (RJr., Mitchell) set up South Dakotaâ�?�?s offense compiling 34 set assists.
