Used book sale planned at Vermillion Public Library A used book sale will be held at the Vermillion Public Library from Friday, Oct. 3 through Sunday, Oct. 5. The sale is open during regular library hours Friday, Oct. 3, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 4, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 5, 1 p.m.-3 p.m. â�?�?We have a huge selection of books for this sale.�? Our storage area is full.�? We have a great selection of general fiction and non-fiction books new to the sale,â�? according to librarian Jane Larson. Hardcover and paperback books, magazines and other materials retired from the libraryâ�?�?s collection and donated to the Friends of the Vermillion Public Library are specially priced for the sale.�? Items sell for three-for-a-$1; 50 or 75 cents each; or customers can fill a grocery bag or copier paper box for $5 with items of their choice. The used book sale is the biggest event sponsored by the Friends of the Vermillion Public Library.�? The sale supports programs such as the Summer Reading Program, the ESA Giving Tree, the annual Literary Luncheon and special equipment purchases for use in the library and by library patrons.
