Sportswriter Vermillionâ�?�?s girlsâ�?�? tennis team closed the regular season against rugged competition last week in preparing for this weekendâ�?�?s state tournament at Rapid City. The Tanagers dropped 9-0 duals to Mitchell and Sioux Falls Lincoln.�? The highlight of the Lincoln dual was Valerie Robinsonâ�?�?s coming within 10-6 of her Patriot opponent at No. 2 singles.�?  Chrisy Sorenson scored four points in a 10-4 loss to her Mitchell foe at No. 6 singles to highlight that dual.
