Sportswriter Vermillion��?s girls��? tennis team closed the regular season against rugged competition last week in preparing for this weekend��?s state tournament at Rapid City. The Tanagers dropped 9-0 duals to Mitchell and Sioux Falls Lincoln.�? The highlight of the Lincoln dual was Valerie Robinson��?s coming within 10-6 of her Patriot opponent at No. 2 singles.�? Chrisy Sorenson scored four points in a 10-4 loss to her Mitchell foe at No. 6 singles to highlight that dual. Results of the two duals: Mitchell 9, VHS 0 Singles: 1.
