Vermillion School District
participating in PDC The Vermillion School District is participating in USD?s Professional Development Center (PDC) again this school year. The PDC began in 1993 and was created to connect and support the learning of experienced and beginning teachers. The program utilizes the practice of mentoring newly certified, licensed teachers over an extended period of time. Students experience an enriched learning environment where beginning teachers with new ideas and fresh vision, combine with veteran teachers? experience and skill. A strong component of the PDC is that the mentors and new teachers are enrolled in graduate programs in the School of Education at USD, studying and learning together while bringing that expertise directly into the classrooms.
