Help local children with
ESA Giving Tree Project As the Christmas season approaches, it is time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas is a time for giving, a time for helping our neighbor, and a time to teach our children the joy of giving and not just receiving. This year there are nine ESA Giving Trees throughout Vermillion with the wishes of over 200 Vermillion and Clay County children representing over 100 families. Trees are located at Pamida, Hy-Vee, Nook 'n Cranny/Never Never Land, Jones' Food Center, the Vermillion Public Library, Wal-Mart, Market Street Café, USD's North Complex, and Sanford Hospital.  Each tree is decorated with tags listing several items that a child would like for Christmas and separate cash/donation envelopes.  The tags may be taken from a tree, a present bought or made, and returned to any one of the above mentioned stores. Please be sure the tag is attached to the gift when you return it so that the family's number and child's number is on the gift. We are happy to continue a relationship with E-Telecare and Polaris that have both generously asked for tags for their own employee gifting. The members of Theta Omega Chapter of ESA would like to thank the Phi Delta Theta fraternity for their ongoing support of our ESA Giving Tree project. The Phi Delta's will help us carry, sort and shop for last minutes gifts. To the owners and employees of Pamida, Hy-Vee, Nook 'n Cranny/Never Never Land, Jones' Food Center, Market Street Café, the Vermillion Public Library, Sanford Hospital, and the men of Phi Delta Theta fraternity, thank you for allowing us to put trees in your establishments and to graciously give your time to help us with this very special Christmas project.  A special thank you goes to the people of Vermillion who have been so generous in the past and will continue to help us bring smiles to the faces of these children on Christmas morning. All gifts donated to the ESA Giving Trees will remain in Vermillion/Clay County.  Any other business that would like to learn more about our Angel Tree project and anyone wanting to make a monetary donation can mail it to Earleen Varns, 983 Crestview Dr., Vermillion, SD  57069
