It was created to review the status of existing and proposed pipelines in South Dakota and assess the adequacy of state laws and regulations relating to those pipelines. Underground pipelines being reviewed by the task force include those used for the transmission and distribution of crude oil, water, natural gas, ethanol, and refined petroleum products. The law requires the task force to submit its findings to Gov. Mike Rounds by Dec. 1. For a complete agenda, visit www.state.sd.us/denr/Boards/2008/UPTF1108.pdf.
