Special Olympics Bowling Team successful at tournament Congratulations to our local area participants that recently competed in the State Special Olympics Bowling Tournament in Aberdeen held November 7-9. The athletes competed in both doubles and team events and had enormous success and great fun. By the end of the weekend the athletes had secured 14 first-place awards, 11 second-place awards, and 3 third-place awards. Congratulations to the following athletes: Terry Doherty, Tiffany Glenn, Amanda Dickenson, Jonnet Andal, Robby Olson, Julia Andal, Gerald Curliss, Bill Red Bear, Alana Richards, Loren Sengelman, Kyle Hegge, Michael Kolbeck, Kathy Trobaugh, and Martha Sturges. The SESDAC Special Olympics Team would like to thank all of the people and organizations who helped make this event such a success: all the volunteers, Tiffany Perry, the USD Occupational Therapy Department, and the men of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity; Pro's Bowling Alley; Vermillion Area Special Olympics; the SESDAC Foundation, Inc.; as well as Sarah Marsolek, Bracy Brown, Nick Hruby, Joseph Barth, Laci Coyle, Kris Berg, and Kelsey Wickre who helped and coached the individuals and teams to victory.
