William Robert Jones William Robert (Bill) Jones, Jr., 78, Stanberry, MO, passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2008 at his home.He was born Aug. 3, 1930 in Vermillion, the son of William Robert and Goldie Elgin (Butler) Jones. Bill served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a farmer in the Stanberry area since 1949. He was a member of the American Legion, Stanberry, MO and the Hammer United Methodist Church, King City, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Valeria I. Jones, Stanberry, MO. Survivors include a brother, Thomas R. Jones, Stanberry, MO; two sisters, Gloria E. Carlson, Stanberry, MO and Virginia (Dean) McCrea, King City, MO; two nieces, Pamela J. Carlson Stanberry, MO and Dee Ann McCrea and daughter Megan, King City, MO; a nephew, Doug (Tonya) McCrea and family, Dylan, Madison and Cash, King City, MO. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday at the Roberson Funeral Home, King City, MO. Burial with military rites will be in the High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry, MO. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to the Donor's Choice in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
