Next Week's Happenings: • Pancake Sunday sponsored by the Senior Center Men & Friends of the Senior Center is Sun., Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Services Center.  Pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee – $4 requested donation. • Sharing the Dream in Guatemala will host a Fair Trade Coffee Break on Sun., Dec. 14 from 2-4 p.m. Reed Friese of Cherrybean Coffee Company in Parker will talk about fair trade coffee.  Samples of locally roasted, fair trade coffee will be available. • USD's Music Department Holiday Concert is Sun., Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. at the high schoo auditorium.  The Tree of Lights Open House and Tree Lighting will follow at 5 p.m. at Sanford Vermillion on 20 S. Plum St. Enjoy refreshments, hors d'oeuvres and holiday music.  This Holiday Celebration is open to the public.  Concert attendees are encouraged to purchase a holiday light or make a free will donation. • "The 32nd Annual Celebration of the St. Lucia Tradition in Dalesburg" is Sun., Dec. 14 at 4 p.m. at the Dalesburg Lutheran Church, 30595 University Road. • The 6th Grade Holiday Concert is Mon., Dec. 15 starting at 7 p.m. at the high school auditorium. • The 7th and 8th Grade Holiday Concert is Tues., Dec. 16 at the high school auditorium starting at 7 p.m. • A Holiday Open House will be hosted by the library staff and the Friends of the Vermillion Public Library on Wed., Dec. 17 from 4-7 p.m. in the Community Room.  Live music, holiday treats, door prizes, activities and a preschoolers story time.
