Emma Ellison Emma Marie Ellison, age 94, of Lancaster, CA, formerly of Vermillion, died Tuesday, Dec. 2. Funeral service was held Friday, Dec. 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Iverson-Siecke-Kober Funeral Home, Vermillion. Burial was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in rural Vermillion. Visitation was held Thursday, Dec. 11 from 4-8 p.m. at Iverson-Siecke-Kober Funeral Home. Emma was born to William and Ollie (Pugh) Pierce on Oct. 3, 1914 in Melcher, IA. She moved to Vermillion when she was a child. In October, 1932, she married Carl Ellison and her family moved to California in 1980. Emma is lovingly remembered by daughter Carol (Verdell) Larson of Palmdale, CA; son Edward (Wanda) of Los Olivos, CA; son William of Vermillion; two sisters; two brothers; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Carl; daughter, Ollie Ann Bursell; two sisters and two brothers. Iverson-Siecke-Kober Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
