academic honor scholarship Skylar Tiahrt, a senior at Vermillion High School, has been awarded an academic honor scholarship from Northwestern College, Orange City, IA, for the 2009-10 school year. Tiahrt is the recipient of a presidential scholarship, which awards a minimum of $7,000 per year. He is the son of Thomas and Cheryl Tiahrt of Wakonda. Northwestern College is a Christian college of more than 1,200 students in Orange City, IA.
