Frances G. McDonald Frances G. McDonald, 101, of Vermillion, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at Sanford Vermillion Care Center. Frances was born Oct. 13, 1907, in Hazelton, MN, the daughter of Frederick Tenecyck and Gladys (Severson) Tenecyck. She graduated from Meckling schools. She married Gordon R. McDonald on June 18, 1927 in Orange City, IA. He died in 1971. Frances was a homemaker and spent most of her life in Sioux City, IA. She attended Mayflower Congregational Church in Sioux City. She enjoyed music, dancing, and cooking. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Survivors include her sons, Gordon of Hot Springs, AK, and Robert of Mission, TX; her daughter, Virginia Wingett of Vermillion; four grandchildren, Jody Irwin of Vermillion, Brad McDonald of North Carolina, Kim Bass of Minnesota, and Greg McDonald of Arkansas; six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon R. McDonald; her sisters; her brother; and her granddaughter, Gail Rohweder. Visitation was one hour prior to her funeral services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Her funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 14 at Iverson-Siecke-Kober Funeral Home, Vermillion.
