Relay for Life

Relay for Life Relay for Life Joanne Allen and her daughter, Sierra, join scores of other people who walked laps on the DakotaDome track Sunday afternoon during the American Cancer Societyâ�?�?s Clay County Relay for Life activities. The theme of Sundayâ�?�?s event was â�?�?Take a Holiday from Cancer.â�? Joanne and Sierra view luminaria placed at edge of the track in to honor both cancer survivors and those whose lives were cut short by the disease. Dozens of volunteers from the USD Chapter of Colleges Against Cancer, the Clay County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, and the community worked to make the event a success. Funds raised at the event will go to the American Cancer Society for education, research and help for patients and their families. (Photo by David Lias)
