sobriety checks The South Dakota Highway Patrol has sobriety checkpoints scheduled next month in the following counties: Beadle, Bennett, Brown, Custer, Codington, Jackson, Lake, Lawrence, Minnehaha, Pennington, Roberts, Spink and Union. In addition to detecting alcohol or drug impaired drivers, the Highway Patrol uses sobriety checkpoints to remind the public of the dangers of drinking and driving.
