Vermillion police arrest 22 at party Vermillion police officers responded to the 1200 block of East Cherry Street early Saturday morning in response to a 911 call. During the course of their investigation, they observed alcohol and drug violations at the residence. Officers obtained a search warrant for the residence. As a result of the investigation, 22 individuals were charged with 79 violations, including underage consumption, drug ingestion, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana two ounces or less and maintaining a place in violation of beverage law. The individuals arrested were males and females between the ages of 18 and 23. Officers from the University of South Dakota Public Safety and the Clay County Sheriff��?s Department assisted the Vermillion Police Department with the investigation.
