Clubs and Organizations Jolly J.J.'s discuss relay The Jolly J.J.'s 4-H club met on Monday, Jan. 19 at the Extension building for their monthly club meeting. Brittany Hanson, club president, called the meeting to order. Tyler Bruce-Lowe led the Pledge of Allegiance and Megan Vlasman led the 4-H Pledge. Ashley Sorensen read the secretary report. Pam Hanson gave an updated treasurer report. Old Business: There were numerous thank yous read and verbally given for the many community service projects and Promoting 4-H projects the club participated in the months of November and December. New Business: 4-H journals were handed back. Several thank you cards were signed by all club members that were present for awards that the club received at the Recognition Event held in November. Discussion took place about the Relay for Life event and how the Jolly J.J.s could participate in it. Discussion also took place about how the Jolly J.J.s could participate in the Kids Helping Kids community service project for 2009. Dates were given about upcoming club events and summer 4-H camps that will be available for 4-H members to attend. Marley Hanson gave an illustrated talk about "First Degree Burns." Ellen Hanson presented a judging school on "Baby Spoon Selections." Refreshments and snacks were provided by Marley and Ellen Hanson.
