Local student joins
Order of the Engineer Jordan Anderson, a South Dakota School of Mines and Technology student from Vermillion, joined the Order of the Engineer during a recent induction ceremony on campus. Anderson is majoring in mining engineering at the School of Mines, an engineering and science university located in Rapid City. The Order of the Engineer is an organization that seeks to promote professionalism and ethics among engineers and graduates of accredited engineering programs. It is a fellowship of engineers trained in science and technology. It is dedicated to the practice, teaching and administration of the profession. A total of 84 students joined the Order during the ceremony.
