Sanford Childrenâ�?�?s Hospital to honor Vermillion Walmart A castle of care awaits children from across this region when the new Sanford Children's Hospital opens next month. The new facility would not have been possible without the generosity of hundreds of donors, including the Vermillion Walmart.  Walmart store 3734 in Vermillion began raising funds for Children's Miracle Network (CMN) at Sanford Children's Hospital in 2007. Since then, Walmart associates have raised $33,670. In honor of their dedication to sick and injured children, a pediatric unit in the new Sanford Children's Hospital will be named the Walmart Wing.  A special recognition took on Thursday, Feb. 19 with associates from the Vermillion Walmart traveling by bus to tour the new hospital and Walmart Wing.  The new 146-bed Sanford Children's Hospital provides a state-of-the-art environment tailored to children. The child-centered, castle theme is incorporated throughout the hospital.
