Scholastics Anderson named to dean��?s list Sarah Anderson of Vermillion, has been named to the dean��?s list at the University of Notre Dame��?s Mendoza College of Business for outstanding scholarship during the fall 2008 semester. Students who achieve dean��?s honors at Notre Dame represent the top 30 percent of students in their college. Anderson is a senior accounting major and will graduate in May 2009. Creighton announces 2008 fall dean��?s list Ryan Scheidel and Brittany Weydert, both of Vermillion, were named to the Creighton University��?s dean��?s honor roll for the fall semester of the 2008-09 academic year. Full-time students who earn a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale are eligible for the dean��?s honor roll. Rasmussen named to U of Wyoming honor roll The University of Wyoming, Laramie, announced its dean��?s and freshman honor roll for the fall of 2008. Sarah Rasmussen, Vermillion, was among 29 students from South Dakota to receive this honor. To be eligible, students must earn a 3.4 or better grade point average and have been enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours. Freshmen must earn a 3.25 or better grade point average. Local student on University of Iowa dean��?s list Christopher Moen of Vermillion is among 3,900 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa named to the dean��?s list for the 2008 fall semester. Moen is majoring in business administration. Students named to the dean��?s list must carry at least 12 graded hours during the semester and a minimum 3.5 grade point average. Bellevue University celebrates 2009 winter commencement Nearly 600 people participated in Bellevue University��?s winter commencement Jan. 31 at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. Mark Mason, Vermillion, received his bachelor of fine arts degree in studio art.
