Students of the Month November Students of the Month selected Rosalyn LaMie and Sam McBride were recently selected as the First Bank & Trust Students of the Month for November at Vermillion High School. These two seniors were chosen for their efforts both in and out of the classroom to reflect leadership and enthusiasm in their activities. LaMie ��?is a delightful student to have in the class. She is enthusiastic and engaged in learning.� Her faculty endorsement went on to say that ��?she is developing into a mature, respectful adult and a real leader among her peers.� Her high school activities have included Oral Interpretation, Natural Helpers, the honors program, volleyball, and drama. She has been a Teen Angel and a 4H participant. Lynn LaMie is her parent. A portion of McBride��?s high school activities are tennis, concert band, show choir, basketball, National Honor Society and baseball. He plans to attend Drury College in Springfield, Missouri to major in Architecture and minor in Business. McBride ��?is very respectful to all staff and students, takes his academic work seriously, and is dependable and responsible.� The recommendation also noted that ��?he has shown civic responsibility through church activities and Kids Voting. His parents are Cyndy and Brook McBride. Cameron, Jepsen receive student honors Chris Cameron and Shannon Jepsen are the First Bank & Trust December Students of the Month at Vermillion High School. Both students will receive a $100 scholarship in recognition of their efforts as students and community members. Cameron ��?always is accepting and includes all in and out of class� according to his faculty endorsement. His plans are to attend the University of South Dakota. Activities for Cameron include football, Student Council, National Honor Society, and track. He has attended Boys State, the Governor��?s Leadership Luncheon, and the Congressional Student Leadership Conference. His parents are Curt and Barb Cameron. Jepsen��?s faculty endorsement indicated that she ��?is an active student showing a proactive attitude and a desire to excel.� Her college plans are to major in Biology for Pre-Medicine. Her VHS involvements include Show Choir, pep band, track, mentor, National Honor Society and Student Council. Other activities are a Girls State representative, 4-H Junior Leaders President and Young Democrats. Scott and Jeanne Jepsen are her parents.
