Maya Janeâ??s 3 112-188…37.3 percent. The league office informs us that we are still missing sheets and fees from Whimpâ??s 2 vs. Char 2 from week six, Maya Janeâ??s 3 vs. Bunyanâ??s 1 from week 8 and Bunyanâ??s 2 vs. Varsity from week 10. Teams are encouraged to get these games sheets and fees into the office a.s.a.p.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  OK everybody… letâ??s rack â??em and crack â??em and see what lucky week 13 looked like from the rail. Whimpâ??s 1 shared top honors with the Pressbox as each team collected 16 wins. Top shooter for the Whimpâ??s â??White Glovesâ? was Rob with five wins, followed closely by Glenny Mac who packed four wins into a victory over the Leo's 2 five-some. The Press Boxers, powered by John Pancheriâ??s 5-0 and Ben Bazemoreâ??s 4-1 nights blazed past the Bunyanâ??s 2 troop for their teams 16 wins. The Westsiders were highlighted by a â??Nine Ball Breakâ? from the crisp cue of Jamie Erickson. Leoâ??s 1 imposed their considerable will on the Maya Janeâ??s 1 squad with a 15-10 resurfacing. Rusty Jensen and Dave â??Homelandâ? Kezar fueled the Leoâ??s 1 machine with five and four wins respectively.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  In another 15-10 win, Char 1 raced the victory lap over Maya Janeâ??s 3. No stats were available at press time so I can only suspect that none of the Char players had all 15 wins. Although on a really good day â??Blue Barryâ? Brown and â??Huskerâ? could give it a heroic effort. Leo's Sports Bar and Grill was the scene of a gruesome inner bar battle as Leoâ??s 3 came out on top of Leoâ??s 4. This match was up for grabs at nine wins each when the Leoâ??s 3 gentlemen won four straight, to close out their seasoned counterparts, early in the fifth frame. Barry â??Rock nâ?? Rollâ? Brown paced Leoâ??s 3 with a four win night to give his team the 14-11 victory. All other participants were either 3-2 or 2-3 for their respective teams. The Varsity Pub was the battle ground as â??Mighty Mikeyâ? Stewart bounced out four wins, but it was not enough as the Bunyanâ??s 1 â??Bombersâ? won in 14-11 style. â??Jumpinâ? Jeff was top bomber with four big wins for the westsiders. When all votes were collected, the lovely Kayla was voted best looking, there were no second place votes.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  Whimpâ??s 2 was on the road at Maya Janeâ??s 2 for a battle of top flight teams. Todd Radigan closed out Maya Janeâ??s 2 in the last frame with his third win of the night for his Whimpâ??s 2 team. Troy Nicks pushed across four wins for Mayaâ??s, but his team would fall a bit short in the hotly contested 13-12 match. And as always we save the best for last. The Eagles soared to a 13-12 victory over Char 2. After four frames the Eagles had opened a narrow 11-9 lead. But, as the fifth frame commenced â??Eâ? (and that stands for ever ready) finished off his fifth win of the night to narrow the gap. Next stepped up â??Hot Rodâ? Jensen and with one swish of his magic wand dropped in the yellow striped ball for a â??Nine Ball Breakâ? and the tie. The Char 2 men would take the lead on Justin Schemp's win. The score stood at 12-11. It was with his back against the wall that Rod Tieman would gain his only win of the night to tie up the match. A real pressure cooker was building. When all the dust cleared the Eagles would be on the top roost as Cliff Deverelle would roll in the nine for his fourth win of the night and a big victory for the home team.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  I think these close matches show us the balance of the league. On any given night there just might be a â??Battle Royalâ? brewing at any of the host establishments. I suggest that you get out and watch. It's a real blast. Until next week, we will catch you on that smooth level surface. Thanks, MOJO. ?
