Youth wrestlers go strong Vermillion youth wrestling received four first-place finishes and a third-place finish at the Moville, IA tournament on Sunday, Feb. 1. There are currently 38 wrestlers ranging from preschool to sixth grade participating in Wednesday evening practices and weekend tournaments across the Midwest. As a team, the young Tanagers have brought home second place trophies from both the Beresford and the Alcester youth tournaments. The youth program is run by several outstanding volunteers from the Vermillion area and the Tanager wrestling team. The program focuses on developing wrestling fundamentals, hard work, sportsmanship and fun. Please show your support and join us at 1 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 15 at the high school for the annual Vermillion Youth Wrestling Tournament.
