Benedict paces
Coyote women��?s golf team Katie Benedict finished with a three-day total of 269 to lead The University of South Dakota women's golf team at the Hiddenbrooke Invitational on Monday in Vallejo, CA. Benedict (Fr., Sioux Falls) shot rounds of 87, 89 and 93 to finish at 269, which was tied for 78th. The Coyotes finished with a 54-hole score of 1,120 and took 18th overall. Abby Doorn (So., Spencer, IA) finished at 272 (87-89-82) and tied for 83rd at the event for the Coyotes. Doorn's 82 was the best round shot by a USD golfer at the event. Nina Bunkers (Fr., Colman) finished at 292 (99-97-96) for USD, with Courtney Knodel (Fr., Yankton) carding a 54-hole total of 294 (106-98-90). Steph Zavilla (So., Highlands Ranch, CO) shot a 295 (99-100-96) for the final USD score. The USD women resume action on Sunday, March 29 at the Missouri Western Invitational in St. Joseph, MO.
