Individuals wanting bicycling safety, skills and tips, and more are welcome to attend. Bicycles, accessories, clothing and essential tools for basic maintenance and repair will be on display. A door prize will also be given away at this event. • USD Women's Tennis host University of North Dakota at the DakotaDome Tennis courts on Friday, April 3. • National Music Museum's Brown Bag Lunch Program will feature Appalachian Folk Songs and the Mountain Dulcimer on Friday, April 3 from 12:05 to 12:55 p.m. Free and open to the public. • Second Annual Middle School Jazz Festival, hosted by USD will be Saturday, April 4 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Warren M. Lee Center. • Festival of Nationals will be Saturday, April 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Muenster University Center. Sample food from all over the world and enjoy great performances. Tickets in advance from ISC members are $5 for children and students, $10 for adults. Tickets are $2 more at the door. • Run For Your Life, the Third Annual Charity 5K Run/Walk, will be Saturday, April 4 at the Lee Medical Building. A Sesquicentennial Event! • National Music Museum's Brown Bag Lunch Program will feature "Rose Songs: A Dozen from American Popular Music" on Friday, April 17 from 12:05 to 12:55 p.m. Free and open to the public. • Prairie Fest featuring seven live bands will be Friday, May 1 from 4:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Ufford Hills Event Grounds, 3821 E Main St., Vermillion. This event is being sponsored by the Dakotans. Advance event tickets are $8, camping $10, at the door event tickets are $10, camping $15. Proceeds to benefit Sanford Children's Hospital. Everyone welcome! • In preparation for our annual July 4 Celebration we are offering the opportunity to various organizations within the community to showcase their services at this very popular community event. Organizations in the past have used this opportunity to do fundraising either through selling food or merchandise or by having an activity set up for event goers. As in previous years, the event will be held at Barstow Park from 6 p.m. to dark, followed by fireworks. Entertainment options will include music and an activity area for kids with games and inflatables.
