Jones named co-player of the week

Jones named co-player of the week Tagney Jones, an outfielder on The University of South Dakota softball team, has been named the Great West Conference Co-Player of the Week, the league announced. Jones (Sr., Lincoln, NE) shares the weekly honor with Utah Valley's Kylee Steadman. It is the third weekly honor for Jones this season. Jones had 10 hits in 19 at bats, including three doubles, a home run, five RBI and two stolen bases. While hitting safely in all six games last week, Jones increased her hitting streak to seven games and now leads USD in average (.410), RBI (29), hits (50 in 122 at-bats), doubles (10), triples (2) and is tied for second on the team in home runs (4).
