Life will be Sweet on Cherry Street Construction Update Work this week: • Milling of asphalt from Hwy. 19 to Cottage Street. • Temporary detour onto service road. • Removals from Hwy. 19 to Cottage Street. Planned for next week: • Continue with removals and dirt work from Hwy. 19 to Cottage Street. • Storm sewer, water main, sanitary sewer crossings at Carr and Princeton Street intersections. • The east bound ramp on the Hwy. 50 bypass will close April 6 and traffic will be detoured onto Crawford Road to Cherry Street. There will be a four-way stop sign on Cherry Street at Crawford Road. Miscellaneous: • Weekly meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Vermillion Hy-Vee café. • Speed limit is 20 mph and no parking through the temporary detour. Speeding and parking violations will continue to be issued during the construction season by the Vermillion Police Department. Cars parked in no parking areas will be towed. • DO NOT add, remove or relocate barrels, barricades, signs, temporary business signs, etc. on the construction sight. If concerns arise, please contact D&G Concrete Construction or the DOT for evaluation. • Upgrades on construction progress and changes will be available on our Web site dgconcrete.com.
