USD menâ�?�?s golf team finishes second at Coyote Invitational The University of South Dakota men's golf team finished second the Coyote Invitational which was held at the Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion, on Saturday and Sunday. USD's Red Team finished with a total score of 624, shooting 311 in round one and 313 in the second round. Minnesota State, Mankato earned the win shooting a total of 616. USD and MSU, Mankato were tied after the first round but the Mavericks shot a 305 in the second round. Leading the USD Red Team in the second round was Jim Walsh (Jr., Sioux Falls) who shot a 76, he finished with a two round total of 156. Brett Bennett (Sr., Sioux Falls) led the red team with a two day total of 152. His score placed him fourth individually overall. Matt Campbell (Jr., Aberdeen) shot a 79 both days for a 158 total. The USD White Team finished with a 651 total as Justin Johnson (Fr., Sioux Falls) shot a 161, (81,80) and Mike Diemand (So., Plymouth, MN) had a total of 164.
