Organizations in the past have used this opportunity to do fundraising either through selling food or merchandise or by having an activity set up for event goers. As in previous years, the event will be held at Barstow Park from 6 p.m. to dark, followed by fireworks. Entertainment options will include music and an activity area for kids with games and inflatables. This Weeks Happenings! • Vermillion Federal Credit Union's Open House and Ribbon Cutting at their new facility on 105 E Cherry St is Friday, May 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. • State 'A' Boys and Girls Track, Friday and Saturday, May 29 and 30 at Spearfish. • Preservation Celebration presented by the Clay County Historic Preservation Commission is Saturday May 30 at 9 a.m. at 7 Center Street. The program will consist of hands on presentations on a variety of preservation related topics, lunch, a guest speaker and the debut of the Vermillion Walking Tour. Everyone is invited to participate. No fee.
