Day graduates
with honors from Augustana Augustana College's 149th Commencement Ceremony was held on Sunday, May 24, at the Sioux Falls Arena. Daniel Day from Vermillion, SD, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science & Biology, Summa Cum Laude. The Rev. Larry Peterson gave the commencement address and received the Honorary Degree of Humane Letters. Rev. Peterson, who retired in 2008, is the founder and director of the Lutheran Retreat Center on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
