The Bluffs Bulletin Board Seniors brave a chilling day On May 26, seven teams of threesomes challenged a cold morning and turned in scores indicative of bad weather. The winning score was a 37 turned in by Jim Grabowski, Harlan Schott and Bob Lund. The next three scores were all 38s. Coming in second with the first 38 was the team of Lloyd Helseth, Cleland Cook and Turk Pilker. Cook made a lengthy birdie chip in on #13 to secure a tie for second for his team. Other teams in the winner's circle were Elmer Mount, Ross King and Dick Kellogg. Also winning a prize for their 38 was the team of Mo Marcotte, Pat Boyle and Jack Doyle. On one of the non-winning teams, Bob Solomon sank a 15-footer for birdie on #18. During this session only three birdies developed within the seven teams in competition. The cold and breezy weather may have been a contributing factor. Ladies look forward to warmer weather There was a chill in the air Wednesday for ladies' golf at The Bluffs. It didn't seem like spring with all of the snowmen on the course. Isn't that right Ann Jensen, Robin Miskimins, Kathy Chandler, Nancy Christoperson and Barb Balensky? The weather didn't seem to bother Nancy Scheidel who chipped in for a birdie on #17 and shared low net with Joanne Usted with a score of 34. Joanne also had low gross with a 45. Karla Haught chipped in for a par on #14. Mylynn Hanson won longest putt for the second time this season with a 20-foot putt on #18. We will be looking forward to warmer weather and more fun next week. Wednesday morning ladies 19 ladies met today on 05/27/09 and had, as usual, a lot of fun!
