will meet Aug. 3 The Vermillion City Council will holds it regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3 in the city hall council chambers. Agenda items include public hearings for a special permit to exceed permissible sound levels by no more than 50 percent for Ribs, Rods & Rock'N Roll, Inc. for a street dance on Main Street between High and Prospect on Sept. 11, from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Sept. 12, from 12 to 8 p.m. A hearing will also be held for a special daily malt beverage and wine license for Ribs, Rods & Rock'N Roll, Inc on or about Sept. 11and 12 on Main Street between High and Prospect and Market Street from Main to Kidder. Under old business, the council will take action on a supplemental resolution for an electric transmission line revenue bond. Under new business, action will be taken on: • A street closure request – Main Street, Market Street and Center Street on Sept. 11 and 12, for Ribs, Rods & Rock'N Roll events. • A Street Closure Request – Main Street for USD First Year Experience. • Amend Sesquicentennial Parade Street closing on Aug. 8, to include Main Street between Harvard and Plum Street. • Missouri River Energy Services T-1 agreement. • Presentation of the proposed 2010 budget.
