Local triathlete competes in Papillion

Local triathlete competes in Papillion Randy Rasmussen of Vermillion, competed in the Papillion Mayor's Triathlon held July 19 at Walnut Creek Lake in Papillion, NE. Rasmussen finished eighth overall and first in his age group with a time of 1:07:29. The race was won by Ryan Long of Omaha, NE, in a time of 1:01:09. The race is a 500-meeter swim, 15-mile bike ride, and a three-mile run. There were 184 individuals and six teams competing in the event.
